I am writing with great pleasure to announce the publication of the fourth issue of “Academic Researcher: Journal of Basic and Clinical Sciences,” marking the successful completion of two volumes. What began as a modest initiative to encourage scientific inquiry has now evolved into a growing platform for multidisciplinary research. During this period, Academic Researcher has gained visibility through indexing in PakMediNet, Google Scholar, IMEMR, Scilit, and strengthened its credibility by being officially listed in ICMJE.
In our first volume, we published articles covering a variety of topics including telomere biology, antimicrobial resistance, maternal fetal biochemical patterns, natural compound cytotoxicity, physiological stress, workplace violence in healthcare, fibromyalgia pain management, mental health, biomarkers in diabetes, and medical education.
The second volume further expanded the journal’s scope. Its content includes studies on biomedical manifestations, genetic associations, skeletal biomechanics, prescription drug interactions, gene polymorphisms, population-level analyses of bone health, and contributions in medical education such as competency frameworks. This volume also features important diagnostic case studies, a dentistry-related review, and rare pediatric rheumatological cases adding value for clinicians and researchers alike.
Our journey so far reflects more than publication statistics; it represents the trust of our contributing authors and our commitment to strengthening research culture. As Editor-in-Chief, I extend my sincere appreciation to our authors for choosing this platform, to our reviewers for their rigorous feedback, and for the unwavering support from Air University, Islamabad.
For the future, our goals include expanding indexing, enhancing the diversity of published content, and further improving the quality of scientific communication. I invite scholars, clinicians, and researchers to join us in this journey to elevate the impact of scientific work.
